African Gold Celebrations was founded in Cape Town in 2007 by a set designer and a bush pilot who kept being asked the same question by the same kind of family: could this be done here, properly, and could no one find out?

Nineteen years later we are — designers, florists, structural engineers, aviation planners, a former protection officer and a chef who has cooked in three countries in one week. We do not subcontract the parts that matter. We do not publish our work. Almost every commission arrives through a family who has already married with us, or through their office.

Roughly two thirds of our clients are American. That shapes how we work: US-hours contact, dollar budgeting with fully open books, contracts your counsel will recognise, and a planning rhythm that assumes you will see South Africa twice before the wedding, not six times.
